Tyre Size by Anonymous, 9 November 2012, 17 out of 17 people found this review helpful To be helpful to the MTB’ers out there. The 26 x1 3/8″ tyre will fit a 590mm rim (like on my old Raleigh Superbe) and not a (standard) MTB which has a 559mm rim. Hope that clears things up a bit….. Tight Tires by BudUgly, 6 May 2017, 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful I purchased a pair of these tires to fit my 700C wheels. In more than fifty years of changing bike tires with no problems. I have never pinched a tube in changing hundreds of tires, but I pinched a new tube, not once but twice because of these tires. I patched the first hole but then the tire went down again after pinching it again. These tires are extremely tight, 6.5mm undersized. I even lubricated them with soapy water to ease them on. I would hate to have to patch a tube while on the road because I’d never make it home. Now I have to go and buy a new tube, put my old tires back on, and dump these new ones which only came, today. I am disgusted. I had read the reviews before I bought these, and saw that another man said they are tight. He wasn’t kidding. I read the returns policy and I can’t return them because they had been fitted. I like the Chain Reaction company and have been happy with a previous purchase of a Brooks saddle, so I’m not blaming them for this situation. I think Michelin should take a look at this situation and remedy it. Pros: nice looking tire Cons: much too tight 6.5mm undersized I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
