Perfect by Anonymous, 18 November 2012, 3 out of 3 people found this review helpful I bought this kit to rebuild my Shimano Hollowtech II BB with bearings worn out. The thickness of RaceFace bearings is 7 mm (25x37x7 mm) instead of Shimano’s 6 mm (25x37x6 mm), but they have seals on both sides unlike Shimano. Also the RaceFace bearings running noticeably smoooth! When you install RaceFace plastic caps inside bearings, first lubricate them with the grease. Then, while pushing, keep the caps coaxially with the bearings as much as possible and they’ll slide in without cracking. Unfortunately I couldn’t install the lip seals since the’re probably incompatible with Shimano Hollowtech II alloy cups. Please note that you have to buy also additional 1 mm BB spacer to compensate chainline DECREASE (that’s not a typo :). I found this review helpful I did not find this review helpful
